Broadcasters, cable and satellite TV executives, providers; owners and/or tenants of cafes, bars, restaurants, night clubs, shopping centers, public places; directors of theaters, philharmonic societies, educational institutions, etc.
Situations when copyrighted works are used/publicly performed, reproduced, distributed, copied, etc. occur daily and almost everywhere. However, some people do not know that one has to pay royalties for such use of copyrighted items.
According to the Kazakh legislation governing copyright and related rights, persons that use copyrighted items must conclude a written license agreement with the copyright holder or with an organization that manages the property rights of authors on a collective basis and pay royalties to the authors for use of their works with the provision of a report concerning the works used.
The Republican Public Association “Union of Songwriters” (RPA UOS) has been established in order to ensure the property rights of copyright owners and holders of the related rights.

The main thing, by ensuring compliance with the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, you prevent violations of rights protected by the legislation, violations of interests of authors and other subjects of law, as well as honor and dignity of other persons.
If any provisions of legislation on copyright law or obligations to pay royalties are violated by users, such action (omission) is construed as a violation of the law on copyright and related rights, and, in accordance with Article 48.49 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the violators will incur civil and criminal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
